Lite-On Combo waiting to become ready

hello guys, i need ur help.. i've trouble with my DVD Combo when i use to burn a new compilation. the type is LITE-ON COMBO SOHC 5232K. im using win XP SP2 and Nero Burning 6.6 as burner software. i've update the firmware of this combo and check the driver is not available on its website coz it has included in xp. the problem is as in the picture above with circle mark in red colour. when i try to burn the compilation, the burner just waiting for the drive to become ready. i check the recorder from recorder menu, it shows that the combo doesnt have RW type. i've heard about the limitation of DVD Combo to writing a disc from my friend. please help...... wa.wa.wa.wa.....
